Area Sales Manager (ASM) for General Trade

As the Area Sales Manager (ASM) for General Trade, your primary responsibility will be to oversee sales operations and drive business growth in a specific geographical area. You will lead a team of sales representatives, develop strategic sales plans, and ensure the achievement of sales targets and market penetration within the general trade sector. Your key responsibilities will include building strong relationships with distributors, developing and implementing sales strategies to meet objectives, monitoring sales performance, conducting market visits to understand customer needs and competitor activities, recruiting and managing the sales team, setting performance expectations, executing strategic sales plans for business growth, managing sales budgets and resources effectively, coordinating with the marketing team for promotional activities, preparing and presenting sales reports, analyzing sales data for insights, and providing recommendations to senior management. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field (an MBA is a plus), along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or area management, preferably in the FMCG or retail sector.
