Must have skills : Application Packaging Good to have skills : NAMinimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary :As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as a software detective, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to troubleshoot software problems, analyzing system performance, and ensuring that applications run smoothly to support business operations effectively. You will engage with users to understand their challenges and work towards delivering timely solutions, all while maintaining a focus on enhancing system reliability and user satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:- Create, customize, and repackage software applications line MSI, EXE, APPX, PSADT, etc for silent/unattended installation.- Develop and maintain Windows Installer (MSI) packages using tools like InstallShield, WiX, Advanced Installer, or ORCA.- Convert legacy installers (EXE, scripts) to modern deployment formats (MSIX, IntuneWin).- Troubleshoot deployment failures and compatibility issues (Application failures, dependencies).- Write PowerShell, VBScript, or Batch scripts for pre/post-installation tasks.- Implement App-V sequencing (if applicable) and MSIX packaging/modernization.- Optimize packages for Windows 10/11, Cloud (Azure/AWS) environments.- Validate packages in MECM , Intune , virtualized (VMware, Hyper-V) and physical environments.- Document packaging processes, version control, and release notes.- Mentor junior engineers and define packaging standards.Professional Technical Skills :- Expert in MSI/MSIX/APPX packaging tools in InstallShield, WiX, Advanced Installer.- Proficient in PowerShell, VB Script, and Windows Registry and File System.- Need to have strong knowledge of SCCM and Intune.- Familiarity with Windows OS internals, Group Policy, and security baselines.Addtional Information- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.- Excellent documentation and communication skills.Education Details-15 years full time education Qualification 15 years full time education
