Admission Counselor

Mahatma Gandhi University Meghalaya seeking an experienced Counselor with a strong background in university and college admissions, along with academic and administrative support functions.

Job Description:-

• Counsel prospective students on courses, eligibility, career options, and admission procedures.
• Manage the complete admissions process including handling inquiries, application processing, documentation, and student enrollment.
• Assist in verifying and maintaining accurate student records and academic documentation.
• Coordinate with academic, administrative, and examination departments for smooth functioning of academic processes.
• Support in organizing admission campaigns, counseling sessions, seminars, and orientation programs.
• Guide students through fee structures, scholarships, and financial aid options where applicable.
• Address student queries related to academic programs, examination schedules, and university policies.
• Assist in marketing and outreach activities to promote the university/college and its programs.
• Provide continuous support to enrolled students for academic progression and career counseling.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the university/college management.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in admissions counseling and university/college administrative work.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and student management systems.
• Strong understanding of academic structures, admissions criteria, and university/college operations.
