Accounting Assistant Job Description As an Accounting Assistant , you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of a business. Your responsibilities will include managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and collaborating with colleagues from various departments. Responsibilities: Document Preparation : You’ll handle tasks like preparing invoices, Vouchers, bank statements, and other financial documents as required. Reconciliation : You’ll reconcile Trade payable accounts, Trade receivable account, bank reconciliation, ensuring that transactions are accurately recorded. GST and TDS document preparation and filing into the government portal Record Keeping : Updating and maintaining financial records will be part of your daily routine. Financial Reporting : You’ll assist in preparing financial reports, contributing to the overall financial health of the company. Collaboration : You’ll work closely with colleagues from finance, human resources, and management. Skills and Qualifications: Organizational Skills : Excellent organizational skills are essential to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Attention to Detail : Precision matters in accounting; a keen eye for detail is crucial. Proficiency in Accounting Software : Familiarity with accounting software ensures accurate record-keeping. Educational Background : Typically, a bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, accounting, or a related field is required. Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
