To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience: 6+ years of experience in penetration testing, with a specialization in systems/applications integrating with mainframe environments. Deep knowledge of mainframe communication protocols and security mechanisms. Demonstrated experience conducting red team-style assessments or advanced threat emulation on mainframe systems. Proficient in tools such as: Mainframe utilities: REXX, ISPF panels, NetView Security tools: Nmap, Burp Suite, Wireshark, custom scripts Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, REXX, Bash, or similar). Job Title: IMS Voice and Messaging Engineer – Service Testing We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IMS Voice and Messaging Engineer for Service Testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing, validating, and troubleshooting IMS-based voice and messaging services (4G LTE and 5G NSA/SA), including VoLTE, VoNR, Vowifi, CSFB, SMS, MMS, Multi-SIM, USSD, Interconnect, National & International Roaming. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of IMS based services through rigorous testing and validation processes. This role requires a deep understanding of IMS architecture, protocols, and end-to-end service flows. Key Responsibilities Service Testing and Validation: - Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for IMS-based voice and messaging services (4G/5G NSA/SA), including VoLTE, VoNR, Vowifi, CSFB, SMS, MMS, Interconnect, National & International Roaming, USSD, Multi-SIM etc. - Perform functional, performance, interoperability, and regression testing of IMS core network elements and services. - Validate end-to-end call flows, messaging flows, and service features to ensure seamless user experience. - Test and validate supplementary services such as call forwarding, call waiting, and conferencing etc. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: - Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot issues in IMS voice and messaging services during testing phases. - Work closely with design, operations, and vendor teams to resolve defects and ensure timely delivery of solutions. - Conduct root cause analysis for service failures and implement corrective actions. Automation and Tools: - Utilize network testing tools (e.g., Spirent, IXIA, Wireshark, Tektronix) to simulate traffic and validate service behavior. Documentation and Reporting: - Document test results, defects, and resolutions in a clear and concise manner. - Prepare detailed test reports and provide recommendations for service improvements. - Maintain up-to-date documentation of test processes, configurations, and procedures. Collaboration and Support: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including core network, RAN, BSS, IPTX, Cloud, RF teams to ensure seamless service delivery. - Provide technical support during service launches and post-deployment phases. Required Skills and Qualifications Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in IMS voice and messaging service testing and validation. Technical Skills: - Strong understanding of IMS architecture, protocols, and interfaces (e.g., SIP, RTP, Diameter, HTTP/2). - Hands-on experience with VoLTE, VoNR, IMS, SMS, MMS, Interconnect, National & International Roaming, Multi-SIM, USSD, SS7/STP etc. - Proficiency in network testing tools such as Spirent, IXIA, Wireshark, Tektronix, or similar. - Knowledge of 4G LTE, 5G (NSA/SA), and legacy network architectures and interfaces. - Familiarity with QoS, traffic engineering, and network security principles. - Experience with virtualization and cloud-native technologies (e.g. Kubernetes). The Position Be a part of the Security Operations Centre (SOC) as a SOC analyst identifying, analyzing, notifying, and responding to security threats across a complex and disperse IT estate. Responding to escalations to resolve detection effectiveness issues (misclassified spam/phish and false positives) Design and develop novel threat detection techniques or methodologies from creating proof-of-concept to productizing the solution. 11. Perform device reviews to ensure compliance with hardening standards, access controls and security related configuration settings 12. Prepare and update security documentation including security procedures, standards, notifications, and alerts in support of other teams within the EgonZehnder Security department. 13. Proactively hunting threats, blue teaming, performing exploit and vulnerability research, all in order to find and a gap that can be exploited by bad actors. Skills: 1.
