We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Software Developer to design and implement software solutions that integrate with industrial systems and automated equipment. As an Automation Software Developer, you will be responsible for creating reliable and scalable applications, interfacing with hardware such as PLCs, vision systems, barcode scanners, and sensors, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining automation software for control systems and industrial applications, creating user interfaces and backend logic to integrate with devices like PLCs, vision cameras, and sensors, implementing and managing communication protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP, OPC UA, etc.), collaborating with mechanical and electrical teams to align software with system design, conducting software testing, debugging, and deployment, ensuring system performance, reliability, and safety standards are met, maintaining proper version control and documentation of all software components, and supporting system commissioning and troubleshooting software-related issues in the field. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field, strong programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or similar languages (0-1 year experience preferred), hands-on experience with PLCs (e.g., Mitsubishi, Siemens) and SCADA/HMI systems, familiarity with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, HIKrobot) and automation sensors, proficiency in industrial communication protocols and network configurations, ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred skills for this position include experience with load cell integration and industrial weighing systems, knowledge of cloud-based IoT systems or edge computing, familiarity with control panel design and industrial safety standards, experience with Git or similar version control systems, and exposure to Agile or DevOps development. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring efficient and compliant manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for planning, designing, purchasing, and implementing Industry 4.0 Automation Systems on manufacturing processes in an Electronics manufacturing plant. Your role will involve determining the manufacturing processes required to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications. You will collaborate with engineering to identify problems with products and performance and recommend solutions or enhancements. Additionally, you will plan and design methods to improve efficiency in productivity. Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing Industry 4.0 Automation Systems across various manufacturing processes such as Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines, Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) lines, Machine shop operations, and Device assembly lines. You will also be involved in integrating Smart Factory Technologies by developing and integrating cyber-physical systems, IoT devices, and other advanced technologies to create fully automated and interconnected manufacturing environments. You are expected to apply your expertise in automation technologies including Vision Systems, Industrial Robots, Collaborative Robots/Cobots, Autonomous Mobile Robots, Automated Guided Vehicles, Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems, SCADA and PLC systems, Smart Worker Guidance and Assistance Systems, and Industrial Internet of Things applications. Furthermore, you will be responsible for process optimization and efficiency improvement by determining and implementing manufacturing processes to achieve production goals, continuously identifying methods to improve overall equipment effectiveness, productivity, reliability, and quality. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Industrial), Computer Applications, or a related field. You should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in Electronics or Automotive manufacturing with a strong background in Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering, capacity planning, and systems development. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes in the electronics industry and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
