We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional with 3+ years of experience in US mortgage underwriting, processing, or real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loan documentation, transaction coordination, and customer service. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a self-motivated attitude, and the ability to manage end-to-end transaction processes in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Review loan files for completeness and accuracy, including application and closing packages, disclosures, and compliance reports. - Assess borrower eligibility by analyzing income, assets, credit, and collateral. - Evaluate risk and ensure loans meet investor and regulatory guidelines. - Gather and verify data from loan documents, including cash to/from borrower, fee thresholds, tolerances, reserves, and impounds. - Determine and document loan conditions, communicate requirements, and provide underwriting decisions. - Ensure compliance with US mortgage regulations, disclosures, and closing documents such as Loan Estimates, Closing Disclosures, HUD-1, Title, Purchase Contracts, Security Instruments, Insurance documents, and Flood Certificates. - Welcome all new clients with a phone call within 24 hours of enrollment, as well as send a welcome email. - Coordinate with sellers to schedule photos, order lockboxes, coordinate notary signings when necessary, and access properties as needed. - Coordinate with photographers to ensure property photos are taken within 3 days of enrollment unless there are extenuating circumstances. - Process photos and create an album for each property before transitioning the file to the Disposition department for marketing. - Notify Accounting of any invoices that need to be paid. - Prepare any needed addendums, extensions, or cancellations and send via Docusign. - Oversee day-to-day operations of transactions and coordinate closely with the disposition department regarding all transactions between buyers and sellers. - Keep the team and leadership informed with updates and escalate any issues that arise. - Maintain and manage all files, documents, and communication within the CRM. - Assist management with ancillary tasks as needed. Requirements : - Minimum 3+ years of experience in US mortgage underwriting, processing, or real estate transaction coordination. - Strong knowledge of US residential mortgage disclosures, compliance, and loan documentation. - Familiarity with underwriting guidelines (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA). - Experience working with transaction timelines, client communication, and internal coordination. - Proficiency in mortgage software, loan origination systems, and CRM platforms. - Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Professional, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a client-first approach. - Must be able to work 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM IST Monday to Friday, and occasional Saturdays as required.
