Job Title: Blender + Unity Engineer (Contract, Remote) Location: Remote Job Type: Contract-based Compensation: Competitive (based on experience) Start Date: Immediate About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Blender + Unity Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Blender's Python API (bpy) and solid Unity development expertise, particularly in building and integrating 3D pipelines, optimizing assets, and automating processes. You’ll be working with us remotely, collaborating closely with our creative and technical team on various automation-based 3D experiences. Key Responsibilities: Develop custom tools and scripts using Blender’s Python API (bpy) for automation and asset optimization Import, export, and optimize 3D assets across Blender and Unity workflows Integrate Blender-generated content efficiently into Unity Work with Unity’s runtime and editor scripting to create performant 3D experiences Collaborate with design, animation, and engineering teams to meet production goals Debug and optimize performance issues in both Blender and Unity environments Ensure cross-compatibility of models, materials, and lighting between platforms Requirements: Proven experience with Blender scripting (Python / bpy) Strong Unity experience (C#, Unity Editor scripting, pipeline integration) Solid understanding of 3D modeling, PBR texturing, lighting, and rendering workflows Familiar with GLTF/GLB, FBX, and USD file formats Experience with game asset optimization and real-time rendering best practices Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills Nice to Have: Experience with Unity URP or HDRP Knowledge of Three.js or WebGL (for future pipeline expansion) Familiarity with AI-generated 3D models or procedural generation Experience in building pipelines for 3D automation projects What We Offer: Flexible remote work environment Dynamic, creative projects involving 3D automation and AI Performance-based incentives and bonuses Possibility of converting to a full-time role in the future Show more Show less
