The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in software testing, with a strong background in test metrics, test planning, governance, and exposure to the life insurance industry. The candidate should also have experience in release management, Jira, defect management, and agile methodologies.Key Responsibilities: Test Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure the quality of software products. Test Metrics: Define, collect, and analyze test metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the testing process. Governance: Ensure compliance with testing standards and best practices and provide governance over the testing process. Release Management: Coordinate and manage software releases, ensuring that all quality standards are met before deployment. Defect Management: Oversee the defect management process, including defect tracking, reporting, and resolution. Agile Methodologies: Work within agile teams to integrate testing activities into the development process. Jira Management: Utilize Jira for test case management, defect tracking, and project management. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. Testing Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of test cases, test scripts, and test results to ensure accuracy and completeness. Test Data Management: Manage and maintain test data to ensure it is accurate, relevant, and secure. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and product owners to conduct walkthroughs and ensure alignment on testing requirements and outcomes.Qualifications: Experience: 10+ years in software testing, with a focus on test metrics, test planning, and governance. Industry Knowledge: Exposure to the life insurance industry is highly desirable. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Jira, defect management tools, and agile methodologies. Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and mentoring testing teams. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.Preferred Skills: Experience with automated testing tools. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
