Test Automation Specialist

Thomsun InfoCare, TIC, is an IT Consulting and Services company based in Kochi, India, focusing on digital transformation for enterprises and new-age technology providers. TIC delivers services in Web/Mobile Application Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Cyber Security, eCommerce, Analytics, and ERP Implementation across various industry verticals. We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in automation testing with hands-on experience in tools like Cucumber, TestNG, RestAssured, and other relevant frameworks. You will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. Engineers who can join within 15 days are preferred. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cucumber, TestNG, and other relevant automation frameworks. - Implement API testing using tools like RestAssured to ensure backend services are robust and meet quality standards. - Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Develop and execute automated functional, regression, and integration test cases. - Conduct performance and load testing using appropriate tools. - Participate in agile development processes, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. - Debug and troubleshoot issues across environments, identifying root causes and providing solutions. - Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests for continuous quality. - Provide detailed and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts. - Document test results and report defects, ensuring high standards of product quality. Required Skills and Qualifications: - 3 to 5 years of experience in QA automation testing. - Strong experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Cucumber, TestNG, RestAssured, Selenium, or similar tools. - Proficiency in API testing using RestAssured or similar tools. - Solid understanding of Java/Python or any other relevant programming languages for writing test scripts. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar. - Experience in cross-browser and cross-device testing. - Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and participation in an agile environment. - Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies. - Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills: - Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. - Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Docker. - Familiarity with BDD (Behavior Driven Development) practices. Education: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
