Role & responsibilities

The Textile Tender Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire tendering process, from identifying opportunities to submitting winning bids for textile contracts. This role involves analyzing tender documents, coordinating with various departments, ensuring compliance with bidding requirements, and maximizing the companys chances of securing textile supply contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze relevant tender opportunities in the textile industry.
  • Review and interpret tender documents, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Prepare and submit high-quality proposals, ensuring all technical and financial aspects are accurate.
  • Liaise with internal departments (procurement, finance, production) to gather necessary information.
  • Develop competitive pricing strategies while maintaining profitability.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and suppliers.
  • Explore potential partnerships and collaborations to enhance bidding success.
  • Ensure all tenders comply with legal, regulatory, and client specifications.
  • Maintain a database of past tenders, contracts, and bid documentation for future reference.
  • Conduct risk analysis and assess financial viability of potential contracts.
  • Assist in contract negotiations post-award to finalize terms and conditions.
  • Work closely with the production and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of textile orders.
  • Monitor contract performance and address any issues that may arise.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on tender progress and success rates.
  • Analyze lost bids to identify areas for improvement.

Recommend process improvements to enhance tender efficiency and success rates.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Textile Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in tendering, procurement, or sales within the textile industry.
  • Strong understanding of textile products, manufacturing processes, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of tendering procedures and contract management.
  • Strong negotiation and business development skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial and technical bid requirements.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and tender management software.
