Tele Sales Head (B2B Expansion)

(Agri Input B2B)

Location: Head Office, Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Employment Type: Full-Time, Work from Office

Work Days: 6 Days/Week

Position Overview

As Tele Sales Head – (B2B Expansion), you will be responsible for building and scaling the

Agro Retailer tele sales business unit from scratch (0 to 1 journey). This includes direct

execution, process design, team hiring & training, floor management, data-driven decision

making, and consistent performance delivery. The role demands strong leadership with an

execution-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Business Ownership & Strategy

  • Own the complete Tele Sales function for (B2B Expansion) – strategy to execution.
  • Define goals, KPIs, and processes for a scalable and efficient telesales model.
  • Build SOPs and refine sales scripts/pitches based on customer interactions and

outcomes.

  • Collaborate with Field Sales and Management teams for alignment and integration.

Team Building & Management

  • Hire, train, and lead a team of Tele Sales Executives.
  • Build a high-performance culture with a coaching mindset.
  • Conduct daily huddles, weekly reviews, and one-on-one sessions for capability

building.

Coaching / Training / Script Building

  • Design and implement effective onboarding and ongoing training programs.
  • Coach team on objection handling, sales pitch delivery, and product knowledge.
  • Continuously evolve scripts and call formats based on team feedback and

performance analytics.

Execution & Floor Management

  • Lead by example with direct call handling, especially in early stages.
  • Drive floor discipline, call quality monitoring, and performance reviews.
  • Resolve escalations and support team in live situations.

Data, Software & Process Building

  • Analyze data using CRM/telephony tools to derive insights and improve efficiency.
  • Create daily/weekly dashboards and action plans.
  • Build and refine internal processes for lead management, follow-ups, and reporting.

Competitor & Industry Understanding

  • Stay updated on competitor practices, industry trends, and market needs.
  • Suggest new approaches and offerings based on industry dynamics.

Key Requirements

  • Education: B.Sc Agriculture, MBA – Agribusiness.
  • Experience: 5+ years in Tele Sales / Inside Sales, with at least 2 years in team

leadership. Experience in building processes from scratch is highly desirable.

Functional Knowledge:

  • Strong grasp of Agronomy basics and Agri Retail ecosystem.
  • Expertise in script design, sales coaching, and process innovation.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, call tracking software, and performance

analytics.

Mindset & Skills:

  • Builder’s mindset – experience in setting up new verticals/functions.
  • Excellent communication, people management, and motivational skills.
  • Problem-solving ability with data-backed decision-making.
