Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Territory & Sales Ownership

  • Drive primary and secondary sales of agri-inputs like insecticides, fungicides, biostimulants, and fertilizers.
  • Set monthly targets for territory and team; monitor daily sales tracking and beat performance.
  • Ensure strong retail coverage, market penetration, and territory-specific growth planning.

2. Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Sales Officers/Executives across rural beats.
  • Train team on product knowledge, farmer engagement, retail handling, and Univia app usage.
  • Review daily sales activities, plan joint fieldwork, and improve productivity through

coaching.

3. Agronomy & Farmer Engagement

  • Possess sound agronomy knowledge (crop stages, pests, nutrition) to guide retailers and

farmers effectively.

  • Organize farmer meetings, field days, and demo plot activities to showcase product efficacy.
  • Recommend right products based on soil, crop, and stage.

4. Retail Sales Process Management

  • Build strong retailer relationships for repeat orders, collections, and brand visibility.
  • Ensure proper retail display, POS material usage, and scheme communication.
  • Promote the use of Univias retailer app for digital ordering and engagement.

5. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track competitor schemes, pricing, new launches, and farmer preferences.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product, Branding, and SCM teams.
  • Submit daily market activity reports and sales forecasts using company tools.

6. Street Smartness & Territory Knowledge

  • Apply common sense and adaptability to handle field-level challenges, scheme positioning,

and channel motivation.

  • Have excellent knowledge of local geography, crop cycles, agri influencers, and retailer

dynamics.

7. Logistics, Planning & Compliance

  • Coordinate with PDO, warehouse, and accounts teams to ensure timely supply and payment

clarity.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory norms (e.g., Insecticide Act, FCO, etc.) in product

promotion.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: 38 years in agri-input field sales (mandatory).
  • Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. Agriculture, or relevant graduation in Agri Business.
  • Vehicle Ownership: Must own a personal two-wheeler or car with valid license.
  • Strong team handling, sales drive, and ability to work independently in the field.
  • Excellent communication skills in local language and Hindi.
  • Proficient in planning, beat design, and basic reporting via mobile apps or Excel.
