Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader for our textile showroom who will be responsible for leading the sales team, ensuring smooth showroom operations, maintaining merchandising standards, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of textile products (fabrics, dress materials, home textiles, etc.) and a strong background in retail sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Supervision: Lead and motivate the showroom staff (sales associates, cashiers, stock keepers) to achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
• Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing guidance, resolving complaints, and training staff in customer interaction.
• Sales Performance: Monitor individual and team performance; implement strategies to boost walk-ins, conversions, and average bill value.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of textile products—fabrics, dress materials, furnishings—and train staff on the same.
• Merchandising & Display: Ensure proper display of products, stock rotation, and adherence to visual merchandising guidelines.
• Stock Management: Coordinate with the inventory team to maintain adequate stock levels, conduct stock counts, and manage inward/outward flow of goods.
• Reporting: Prepare daily sales reports, customer feedback logs, and team attendance; share updates with the Store Manager.
• Showroom Upkeep: Ensure the showroom is clean, organised, and operating smoothly during all business hours.
• Training & Development: Conduct periodic training sessions for sales staff on sales techniques, product knowledge, and grooming.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Retail Management, Textile Technology, or any relevant field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a textile or apparel showroom, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good understanding of textile types (cotton, silk, synthetics, blends) and retail pricing.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced sales environment and team coordination.
• Proficiency in basic MS Office and POS systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in high-footfall textile showrooms (e.g., hand loom stores, ethnic wear outlets, furnishing showrooms).
• Knowledge of local/regional languages depending on the store location.
• Understanding of customer behaviour in textile retail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
