Roles & Responsibilities: Client has a need to build out a new data center to move 100% of their data center to a new data center. However, after protracted discussions, 20% of their applications will get pulled out of this and put into a different data center that already exists. needs help mapping these applications back to the underlying infrastructure to remove it from the BOM so what remains are the goods and services for what remains. If there is time, to help client will update rack elevations to reflect the updated, reduced BOM. The client will move their Sun workloads to the new IBM AIX. Hands-on experience with Dell EMC PowerMax, Unisphere for PowerMax, and Symmetrix CLI (SYMCLI). Strong understanding of VMware vSphere storage (VMFS, NFS, vSAN, vVols). Knowledge of SRDF, SnapVX, TimeFinder, and replication technologies. Experience with zoning on Cisco/Brocade SAN switches. Proficiency in RAID levels, storage tiering, and capacity management. Familiarity with backup solutions like Rubrik or Commvault. Scripting knowledge for automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python). Experience working with Linux and Windows-based storage clients.
