Responsible for preparing estimates, ensuring compliance to customer requirements, liaising with vendors for quotes and supporting sales team as required during finalization.
Job Responsibilities / Accountability (major end results the job is expected to achieve):
Proposal Preparation and Management :
? Read enquiries received/allotted along with all technical & commercial specifications to understand customer's detailed requirements and make note of the same.
? In case of any irregular requirement, notify the respective Sales Manager to decide further course of action.
? Review design sheet received from the design engineer to ensure design has been carried out as per enquiry requirements / instructions from Sales Managers/ SD.
? Obtain costs of bought out items from respective vendors and freight charges from transporters and forwarders as per applicable INCO terms.
? Prepare estimation based on instructions received and estimation policy.
? In case of Project enquiries, discuss with Estimation Manager, Sales Manager and Sales Director on strategy.
? Ensure timely completion of estimations as per deadlines.
? Read all commercial terms and highlight irregularities to the Sales Manager to decide further course of action.
? Fill up Technical (if required) and Commercial Questionnaires sent by client and seek approval from Sales Manager.
? Review and discuss offers prepared with Estimation Manager and Sales Manager.
? In case of revisions, understand the revised requirement and follow aforementioned steps to revise the offer.
Projects:
? Take part in Kick-off meetings to help explain scope of work and considerations by the sales team.
? Prepare budget for raw materials and other items based on estimate and order value.
? In case of changes during the order, assist project team with revised estimates to help take decisions.
Research and Development:
? Keep up to date with all technological advances in materials and manufacturing techniques.
? Take part in development of new products in the organization.
Job Specification: Qualifications (Basic, Professional & any other desired qualification):
- Graduates in Engineering (Chemical / Mechanical) Work Experience (No. of years, Industry & Areas in which person would had worked):
- Preferred 3-4 years of experience in relevant area of work Functional Skills:
