Specialist, Engineering Services

Manage multiple fit-out projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery within scope, time, budget, and quality parameters
Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and budget forecastsConduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress and quality adherenceIdentify and mitigate potential risks that could impact project deliveryPrepare and present regular project status reports to senior management

Technical Oversight

Review and validate technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications for civil and interior works
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standardsProvide technical solutions to design and construction challenges encountered during project executionManage change orders and variations, analyzing their impact on project scope, timeline, and budget

Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
Lead client meetings to discuss project progress, address concerns, and manage expectationsCoordinate with architects, designers, MEP teams, and other technical specialistsBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors

Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor site supervisors and junior team members
Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure optimal utilization of team resourcesImplement training and development initiatives to enhance team capabilitiesParticipate in resource planning and allocation for upcoming projects

Quality & Compliance

Implement quality control procedures to ensure adherence to specifications and standards
Conduct regular quality audits and inspections throughout the project lifecycleEnforce health and safety procedures on all project sitesEnsure proper documentation and record-keeping for all project phases

Required Qualifications & Skills
Technical Skills

In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and finishes specific to fit-out projects
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawingsProficient in quantity surveying and cost estimation for civil and interior worksUnderstanding of building services integration within fit-out projectsKnowledge of local building codes and regulations

Soft Skills

Excellent project management and organizational abilities
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilitiesEffective communication and negotiation skillsClient-focused approach with strong relationship management abilitiesAdaptability and resilience in high-pressure situations

Technical Tools Proficiency

Proficient in MS Project, Primavera, or similar project management software

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) added advantageAdditional qualifications in construction management or interior design considered an advantage

Industry-Specific Experience

6-8 years of progressive experience in the fit-out industry
Demonstrated experience managing commercial and/or retail fit-out projectsTrack record of successful project delivery within time and budget constraintsExperience working with high-end finishes and materials for premium fit-out projectsFamiliarity with procurement processes specific to the fit-out industry

Reporting Structure

Reports directly to: Senior Manager/Project Lead/Project Director - Civil & Interior Works
Supervises: Site Supervisors, Project Coordinators, and Junior Engineers
