Specialist - EIT Engineering

• Engineering & IT Integration:

• Apply engineering principles to design, develop, and optimize systems that integrate engineering technologies with IT infrastructure.
• Support the implementation of IT solutions that meet the requirements of engineering projects and align with overall business goals.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of engineering systems and tools.

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for engineering systems, software, and hardware.
• Analyze and resolve complex issues related to engineering IT systems, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
• Work closely with engineering teams to diagnose problems, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions.

• System Configuration & Maintenance:

• Configure, test, and maintain engineering systems, hardware, and software tools.
• Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure systems are functioning efficiently and securely.
• Manage system backups, software updates, and hardware configurations as part of system upkeep.

• Project Management & Collaboration:

• Assist in the planning and execution of engineering projects, ensuring the integration of IT systems meets all technical and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
• Contribute to the development of project documentation, including system specifications, manuals, and technical reports.

• Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of engineering data related to system performance, efficiency, and optimization.
• Develop and maintain documentation to track system configurations, software changes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management on system performance and areas for improvement.

• Process Improvement & Optimization:

• Identify areas for improvement within engineering IT systems and processes, proposing solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Assist in the design and implementation of new technologies, methodologies, or workflows that enhance engineering operations.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in engineering technology and IT solutions to recommend innovative approaches.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience (X+ years) in an engineering, IT support, or related technical role, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of engineering systems and their integration with IT infrastructure.
• Experience with system administration, software deployment, and troubleshooting in a technical environment.
• Familiarity with engineering software tools (e.g., CAD, CAM, ERP systems) and IT solutions commonly used in engineering processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Good understanding of project management principles and the ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document processes and communicate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in IT systems or engineering software tools.
• Experience with cloud computing, data management systems, or automation in engineering environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices as they relate to engineering systems.
• Familiarity with Agile or other project management methodologies.
• Experience in a specific industry (e.g., manufacturing, automotive, energy, or construction) is a plus.
