Proactively monitor customer usage trends, identify potential risks, and uncover new opportunities for growth and adoption. Advocacy & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the voice of the customer within DigitalOcean, ensuring their needs are represented in product development and support processes. Liaise with Engineering and Support teams to resolve escalations and technical challenges quickly, ensuring smooth customer experiences. Deliver compelling presentations to articulate the benefits and functionality of DigitalOcean’s offerings to customers. Contribute to internal and external technical documentation, and provide training for DigitalOcean’s teams and partners to ensure knowledge transfer. Tooling & Efficiency: Develop tools and scripts to streamline DigitalOcean’s technical engagements, improving the efficiency of the Technical Account Management functions. Key Responsibilities: - Client Engagement: - Join client meetings alongside the sales team to gather and clarify business requirements. - Ask the right questions to uncover real business needs, constraints, and goals. - Requirement Analysis & Documentation: - Analyze business processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities. - Create Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs), wireframes, workflow charts, and process maps. - Document Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS). - Solution Design & Proposal Writing: - Translate business requirements into technical architecture and propose optimal solutions. - Draft Statements of Work (SoW) and proposals for client review and internal implementation. - Collaborate with development teams to validate technical feasibility. - Pre-Sales Support: - Act as a key consultant during the proposal phase and product demonstrations. - Work with the sales and project teams to create estimates, timelines, and project roadmaps. - Collaboration & Review: - Ensure smooth communication between client and internal tech teams. - Continuously refine documentation based on client feedback and development constraints. - Assist in defining success criteria and solution acceptance standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: - 4-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Solution Consultant, or Solution Architect. - Strong experience in requirements gathering, solution designing, and technical documentation. - Proficiency in tools like: - Diagramming: Lucidchart, Draw.io, Visio - Documentation: Google Docs, MS Word, Confluence - Understanding of software development concepts, APIs, cloud hosting, and web technologies. - Exceptional communication skills-both verbal and written. - Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience in pre-sales or client-facing consulting roles. - Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Background in SaaS, eCommerce, or custom software solutions. - Basic technical know-how (e.g., understanding how REST APIs or databases work).
