Software Quality Analyst

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at WSP, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications. You will perform manual testing, identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar, and create and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, or others. Collaboration with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure quality is essential. You will participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, as well as perform regression and smoke testing for releases. Additionally, you will assist in creating and maintaining QA documentation and test reports. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 2+ years of experience in QA/testing. A strong understanding of software testing methodologies, experience with test management and bug tracking tools, and hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools are required. Familiarity with version control systems, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good communication and teamwork abilities are also necessary. Preferred skills that would be beneficial for this position include exposure to performance/load testing tools, experience with CI/CD tools, basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages, familiarity with databases, and writing SQL queries.
