Software Engineer II (Full Stack Developer)

Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our agile development team. You will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting scalable, high-quality solutions across the full technology stack. This role involves collaboration with architects, product managers, and peers to deliver end-to-end features that support business objectives while upholding engineering best practices. Role: Design and implement technical solutions that align with business requirements and adhere to Mastercard s engineering standards, patterns, and best practices. Build RESTful/GraphQL APIs and ensure seamless integration with UI components. Collaborate closely with product managers and solution architects to refine feature definitions, shape technical approaches, and deliver functional, maintainable software. Develop and document end-to-end features, including design artifacts, prototypes, and production-grade code, as part of an agile scrum team. Conduct peer code reviews across multiple scrum teams to uphold high-quality engineering and clean code standards. Write comprehensive unit, integration, and functional tests in line with the Definition of Done. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during UAT and production support phases, prioritizing based on business impact. Participate in post-implementation and production support activities, ensuring operational stability and timely resolution of incidents. Research and develop PoCs to evaluate new technologies and contribute new insights to the team. Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members while continuously improving your own understanding of the platform and technologies. Work in a collaborative Scrum environment with clear accountability and ownership. Tech Stack: Backend: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, GraphQL, JPA, Hibernate Frontend: Angular, React, Vue, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 Database: PostgreSQL, Oracle Testing: JUnit, JBehave, Cypress, Playwright Cloud: PFC, AWS (EC2, S3, etc.), Azure Messaging/Event Streaming: Apache Kafka, gRPC DevOps & Tooling: Git, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Postman, IntelliJ All About You: 3 5 years of professional experience in full-stack software development. Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies. Hands-on experience with relational databases. Experience with Git version control system and CI/CD pipelines. Exposure to cloud platforms such as PCF, AWS, or Azure. Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps culture. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Self-starter with a growth mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
