The Cloud Security group within SBG focuses on creating cloud-delivered security solutions in a platform-centric approach. Operating as an autonomous group within the business segment, this group functions like a startup to foster innovation in a highly disruptive and rapidly expanding domain. Formed by combining existing cloud assets with successful acquisitions like OpenDNS, the group aims to develop intricate security solutions delivered via the cloud with simplicity at the core. The group is currently experiencing 100% year-over-year growth and is seeking a passionate, innovative, and action-oriented engineering leader to drive the Product Engineering group and support business scalability. Cloud security is crucial in today's evolving landscape where remote work, BYOD policies, cloud-based business applications, and cloud-based critical infrastructure are prevalent. As the threat landscape becomes more sophisticated, traditional perimeter-based security measures are being challenged. The Cloud Security team is committed to redefining security solutions for the cloud era and is seeking individuals who share a passion for addressing these challenges and contributing to a more secure world. The team operates a highly scalable cloud infrastructure across 25 data centers, processing over 100 billion requests per day from 65 million daily active users. As a member of the team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in engineering, product management, and field teams to steer technology direction, facilitate key technical decisions, drive end-to-end solutions, and support FedRAMP certification efforts. Your role will also involve partnering with Product leads to shape product and technology strategies, providing on-call support for production services, and offering technical support to clients or end-users. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 8 to 10+ years of experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems - Professional software development experience in C/C++, Python, and familiarity with Go (Nice to Have) - Experience with MacOS device drivers, building MacOS app extensions using Apple Driverkit framework, and installing drivers using System Extension Framework Preferred Qualifications: - Strong technical expertise in cloud technologies and architectural patterns, including HTTP/HTTPS, Proxy, API services, Containerization, Micro-services, Application monitoring, and Elastic scaling - Experience in building or maintaining software, library, and infrastructure to meet FedRAMP, SOC2, or ISO27001 compliance - Knowledge of emerging cyber threats and threat intelligence techniques - Familiarity with incident management processes and tools (e.g., PagerDuty), understanding of SLAs, and proficient in creating detailed documentation and performing root cause analysis #WeAreCisco where every individual brings their unique skills and perspectives together to pursue our purpose of powering an inclusive future for all.
