Title: Software Engineer (Junior to Mid-Level)

Location

: Mumbai, India (roles in Ascot)

We re hiring Software Engineers to build and maintain scalable, high-quality software systems across our portfolio companies. This is a hands-on development role ideal for engineers early in their careers who are eager to grow their skills in a GenAI-enabled, collaborative environment. You ll work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional squads to deliver impactful solutions that serve real users.

The role

We re hiring Software Engineers to join our product squads in Mumbai. You ll contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of backend services and APIs, working with modern technologies like .NET Core, Python, and MongoDB. You ll also have the opportunity to explore GenAI tools and work in a microservices-based architecture.
This is a great opportunity for engineers with 2 - 4+ years of experience who are passionate about backend development and eager to grow in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C# (.NET Core) and Python.

Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support front-end and third-party services.

Work within a microservices architecture to ensure scalability and maintainability.

Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and pair programming.

Collaborate with front-end developers and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Contribute to documentation, testing, and debugging of software features.

Learn and support production systems under supervision.

About you

We re looking for engineers who are curious, collaborative, and committed to building high-quality software. You should be comfortable working in agile teams and open to learning new technologies.

The Ideal Candidate

Must-Have Technical Skills

2 - 4+ years of experience in backend development using C# and .NET Core

Hands-on experience with Python

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

Exposure to MongoDB or other database technologies

Awareness or hands-on experience with GenAI tools (e.g., Langchain , Claude, Hugging Face, CursorAI )

Nice-to-Have

Familiarity with front-end technologies like ReactJS

Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Experience in FinTech or other regulated domains

Non-Technical Skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Understanding of Agile methodologies

Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn

Process

Our recruitment process is designed to be efficient and respectful of your time. It starts with a 30-minute call with our Talent Acquisition team and a member of the Engineering Centre of Excellence, followed by further interviews with the Engineering Centre of Excellence team.
Please note: This is an office-based role in Ascot, Mumbai.
