As a Software Application Engineer at Lam, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and adoption of software products. Your responsibilities will include analyzing, designing, programming, testing, debugging, and enhancing software applications to support fast product evolution through agile processes. Your expertise and initiative will be instrumental in turning ideas into products that advance Lams semiconductor technology. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the innovation and efficiency of Lam's products and services by developing enterprise-grade software applications. You will enable data-driven decision-making, optimize workflows, enhance user experience, and improve the quality and performance of Lam's hardware and processes. Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, driving the adoption of internal software products, collaborating with application teams and process engineers, understanding product roadmaps and business use cases, providing requirements to product managers and developers, and ensuring the availability of required capabilities for applications. You will also be responsible for developing clean, scalable, maintainable, and testable application code, implementing testing to enhance functionality, and bringing innovation to design and architecture. We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with significant experience, or equivalent experience with a Master's degree or Ph.D. Additionally, experience in specific areas such as front-end, back-end, or data analysis is required. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, familiarity with software product development methodologies, effective organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills are preferred qualifications.
