Roles and Responsibilities To lead team of engineers in R&D- Switch Mode Power Supply / Power Conversion Units products design and development for hi-reliability application.. Should be involved in circuit design, electrical schematic, bom finalising, prototype build, testing and qualification of the Power Conversion Circuits and Systems. To work with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineering teams to successfully design, validate, prototyping and manufacture power converters. Design Validation-evaluation and approval of Product documentation, Acceptance Test plans as per project-product requirement standards and design process. We are seeking a passionate,skilled R&D Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems, power electronics, SMPS design. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the development of consumer electronic appliances related designs.

Electrical/Electronics, M.E. power electronics with 6 to 10 years of experience Job Description Key activities include but not limited to: Knowledge of product development & testing of Non-Solar, Solar, Hybrid & Battery Less three Phase Inverter. Knowledge of SMPS design & testing. Advanced knowledge of power electronics converter topologies (DC/AC and DC/DC). In-depth understanding of semiconductor device characteristics (MOSFETs, IGBTs, GaN, Rectifiers, AFE ICs, LDOs, Switching Regulators, LED Drivers). Mastery of power electronics system design & analysis, including magnetic components and layout optimization. Advanced skills in analog and digital circuit design & analysis. Experience with advanced multilevel topologies and packaging techniques. Strong background in thermal management of power converters and EMC/EMI mitigation techniques. Expertise in modeling and simulation software for power converter design (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice). Knowledge of product failure analysis. Responsible for technical deliveries of all tasks within Power Electronics product development. Conversant with various power electronics converter topologies. Hands on experience in using programmable power supplies, oscilloscope, Grid Simulator & Solar Simulator. Understanding of various design and simulation tools used for product development. Should have knowledge of product validation, benchmarking, BOM preparation, reviewing of schematic and PCB layout, report generation and product documentation Work Independently without monitoring and follow-up Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability Expertise in PCB layout design and firmware development for microcontrollers. Proficiency in controller designs and field-oriented controls. Strong skills in debugging & troubleshooting of PCBs, analog & digital circuits. Experience in engineering Design Verification Testing (DVT) and pre-compliance testing. Understanding of EMI/EMC considerations and safety standards (UL/VDE/IEC/BIS/CCC). Circuit Design and Compliance: Perform detailed design and analysis of power electronic circuits, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety regulations. Documentation and Procedures: Prepare detailed design documentation, schematics, Bills of Materials (BoM), and test procedures to support product development and manufacturing. Testing and Verification: Lead rigorous testing and verification processes for power electronics and power systems, both in laboratory and field settings, to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards. Technical Leadership: Participate in design reviews, providing expert guidance to drive continuous improvement and innovation in power electronics solutions. Production Support: Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to facilitate the transition of designs from R&D to mass production, addressing any design-related issues during the production phase. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous testing and validation processes to ensure product reliability and performance. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products meet relevant industry standards and regulations. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hardware Engineer with a strong background in Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), power electronics, and hardware systems . The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AC-DC and DC-AC conversion , electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMS) , and electromagnetic pulse (EMP) protection . In this role, you will lead and mentor a hardware development team of 5 to 6 engineers, driving end-to-end design, testing, and optimization of power hardware systems. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and testing of AC to DC and DC to AC power conversion systems, including SMPS circuits . Ensure compliance with EMP, EMS , EMI/EMC standards and other regulatory requirements. Guide the team in component selection, PCB design, schematic development, and circuit simulation. Perform failure analysis, root cause investigation, and implement corrective actions in hardware designs. Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical, and testing teams to deliver robust and reliable hardware solutions. Review and approve design documents, test plans, and verification reports. Conduct design reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers. Drive innovation in power electronics architecture and design methodologies. Ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards . Required Skills : Proven experience with: SMPS design (flyback, buck, boost, etc.) AC-DC & DC-AC conversion topologies EMP and EMS mitigation techniques High-voltage and high-current hardware design Testing and validation against EMI/EMC standards Proficient in hardware design tools like Altium, OrCAD, LT spice, etc. Experience with lab instruments: oscilloscopes, power analyzers, EMI testers, etc. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Nice to Have: Experience in battery management systems (BMS) , inverters , or UPS systems . Familiarity with safety certifications (UL, CE, IEC). Knowledge of firmware interfaces and microcontroller integration.
