Shop Helper

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable individual to join our team as an Electrical Goods Store. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and retrieval of electrical goods, ensuring accurate inventory management and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Loading and Unloading: Safely and efficiently load and unload incoming and outgoing electrical goods from delivery vehicles, adhering to proper handling procedures to prevent damage. Receiving and Storage: Verify incoming shipments against invoices/packing lists, identify and report discrepancies, and accurately place goods into designated racks and storage locations. Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick electrical goods from racks based on customer orders or internal requests. Inventory Management: Maintain an organized and tidy warehouse/store area, ensuring proper labeling and storage of all products. Assist with periodic stock counts and inventory reconciliation. Material Handling: Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks) safely and effectively. Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or similar environment, preferably with electrical goods, is a plus. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [Specify weight, e.g., 25 kg]) repeatedly throughout the day. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proactive, hardworking, and reliable with a strong work ethic. Basic understanding of inventory procedures is desirable. Familiarity with various types of electrical goods (e.g., wires, switches, lights, appliances) is an advantage. Physical Demands: Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of electrical goods. Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods. Ability to work in various temperature conditions found in a warehouse environment.
