Job Description

Shift Incharge – Foundry role:

Shift Incharge – Foundry Operations
Location: Rishra, Howrah, West Bengal

Full-Time | Shift Role

Qualifications:

Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Foundry Technology (Metallurgy background preferred)
5–6 years of experience in DI/CI/Steel foundries

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee melting operations using induction furnace
Supervise moulding & pouring processes (green sand / no-bake)
Conduct basic metallurgical tests (spectro, hardness, microstructure)
Coordinate with QC & Maintenance teams
Manage shopfloor manpower, ensure productivity & safety
Maintain daily production logs & process documentation
Support ISO/QMS compliance and continuous improvement

Skills:

Strong understanding of casting defects, melting practices, sand systems
Knowledge of 5S, safety, and quality standards in foundry
Team handling & shift supervision

Rotational shift of 12 hours (8 - 8) - Including lunch/Dinner

Candidates with metallurgy background or relevant foundry experience preferred.
