Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design
progressive, transfer, and line dies
for automotive sheet metal components.
Interpret complex part drawings and
create complete tool design packages
using CAD tools like
Siemens NX and AutoCAD
.
Collaborate with
product engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
to ensure designs meet formability, tolerance, and production goals.
Conduct
formability analysis
, draw simulations, and die process planning.
Optimize tool layouts to reduce material usage, press time, and ensure dimensional accuracy.
Review and revise designs based on
try-out feedback
, simulation data, or production needs.
Generate
detailed BOMs
, die part drawings, and assembly instructions.
Support
tool manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning activities
.
Participate in
Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
and APQP/PPAP processes.
Ensure designs comply with
OEM standards and safety regulations
.
