Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design high-quality injection mold tools using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, or AutoCAD).
Develop 2D and 3D tool designs including core, cavity, slides, lifters, cooling circuits, and ejection systems.
Collaborate with product design teams to ensure the manufacturability of parts.
Create and maintain detailed documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and revision histories.
Evaluate mold designs for cost-effectiveness, performance, and reliability.
Support tool build, sampling, and validation processes with mold makers and injection molding teams.
Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements based on feedback.
Troubleshoot tooling issues and propose design modifications or corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal specifications.
Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and manufacturing technologies.
