Service Advisor

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team, specializing in Cummins diesel engine service and repair. The ideal candidate will act as the liaison between customers and the service team, ensuring smooth coordination of service jobs, accurate diagnostics communication, and high levels of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:Serve as the first point of contact for customers needing Cummins diesel engine diagnostics, repair, or maintenance. Understand and explain technical issues related to Cummins engines in a clear and customer-friendly manner. Prepare accurate job cards and service estimates based on customer concerns and technician assessments. Coordinate with the workshop team to schedule repairs and ensure timely completion. Track service progress and communicate updates to customers. Verify warranty eligibility and handle Cummins warranty claim processes if applicable. Maintain accurate service records, including maintenance history and customer interactions. Provide guidance on recommended services and promote preventative maintenance packages. Ensure compliance with Cummins service standards, safety protocols, and company policies. Requirements:Proven experience as a Service Advisor in diesel engine repair or heavy-duty vehicle service. Strong knowledge of Cummins diesel engines, including familiarity with diagnostic tools and engine models (e.g., ISX, QSB, QSK). Technical diploma or degree in Automotive/Diesel Technology (preferred). Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using service software and job card systems (e.g., Cummins INSITE, QuickServe Online). Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Customer-first attitude with strong problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications:Certification or formal training from Cummins or a recognized technical institution. Experience in a dealership or authorized Cummins service center. Familiarity with parts procurement and inventory management related to Cummins engines.
