Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Server Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing and maintaining Windows and/or Linux-based servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of the infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain servers (Linux/Windows) and related hardware/software.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security using monitoring tools.
• Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
• Manage user access controls, permissions, and policies.
• Troubleshoot server issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure regular backups and disaster recovery procedures are in place and tested.
• Monitor server logs, identify potential issues, and respond to system alerts promptly.
• Configure and manage web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx, IIS).
• Maintain firewall rules, VPN configurations, and overall network security.
• Collaborate with the development and network teams to support infrastructure needs.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to data privacy and security.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 2+ years of proven experience as a Server/System Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server environments.
• Familiarity with server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with scripting (Shell, PowerShell, or Python) is a plus.
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Knowledge of backup and recovery tools (e.g., Veeam, Acronis).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Certifications like RHCSA, MCSA, or CompTIA Server+ are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
