Sr. TL Sales & Operations (Contract Management – CNG & CBG)

Role Objective:

To lead and manage the contract lifecycle and operational processes related to CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and CBG (Compressed Bio-Gas) businesses, ensuring compliance, profitability, and seamless execution of commercial agreements with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial contracts related to CNG and CBG sales, including franchisee, dealer, and transporter agreements.
  • Ensure all contracts are aligned with legal, regulatory, and company policy requirements.
  • Maintain a central repository for all contracts with appropriate renewal and compliance tracking mechanisms.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, and operations teams for approvals and risk assessments.

2. Business Operations & Support:

  • Monitor end-to-end operations of CNG and CBG distribution in alignment with business targets.
  • Ensure effective implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) across locations.
  • Address operational bottlenecks and provide timely support to zonal/regional teams.

3. Sales Coordination & Performance Monitoring:

  • Drive sales performance and revenue realization through channel partners and franchisees.
  • Analyze sales data, prepare performance dashboards, and present insights for strategic decisions.
  • Track volume commitments vs. offtake and ensure contractual obligations are met.

4. Vendor & Partner Management:

  • Manage onboarding, relationship, and performance of CNG & CBG partners.
  • Evaluate vendor performance as per contract KPIs and take corrective actions where needed.
  • Conduct periodic partner reviews and audits for operational excellence.

5. Compliance & Regulatory:

  • Ensure adherence to PNGRB guidelines and other applicable government policies.
  • Work closely with compliance and legal teams to address regulatory changes.
  • Handle documentation and reporting required by statutory authorities.

6. Strategic Initiatives:

  • Support senior management in new business initiatives, pricing strategies, and market expansion in the CNG/CBG domain.
  • Lead digital and process improvement initiatives in contract management and partner engagement.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of CNG/CBG operations and the regulatory framework.
  • Expertise in contract law, negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional coordination and multi-location operations.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Commerce / Business; MBA preferred.
  • 10 - 15 years of experience in Sales & Operations in the energy/gas/petroleum sector, with at least 5 years in contract management.
