Job Description

As part of the ongoing evolution of our core product lines and an increase in custom projects, we are initiating a QA team to support the critical qualification phase of our development cycle. You, as a Senior QA, will play a vital role in maintaining Capillary's industry-leading reputation for product excellence by ensuring that all deliverables undergo thorough and rigorous qualification procedures. You should possess the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with our products and demonstrate a passion for developing complex testing solutions from the ground up. Your work location will be in Mysuru with a requirement to work in the office for 5 days a week. The timings for work are from 4 PM to 1 AM. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement test strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all product functionalities. You will design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases for software and multiplatform applications, maintaining high-quality standards. It will also be your duty to identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems such as JIRA or Bugzilla, ensuring effective communication with development teams for prompt resolution. Engaging in root cause analysis and suggesting improvements to enhance product quality and testing efficiency will also be within your purview. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing objectives and timelines. Creating and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium, contributing to the efficiency of the testing process, will be one of your key responsibilities. Producing and maintaining detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results, ensuring clarity and accessibility, is also expected from you. Additionally, you will support and mentor junior QA team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Experience: 4-6 years of experience in software quality assurance, including manual and automated testing. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG). Experience with API Automation & Performance Testing (Jmeter). Basic coding skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. - Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. - Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
