Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and high-performance backend services using Node.js.
• Lead the architectural design of backend systems to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and project managers to integrate frontend with backend services.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring security and data protection.
• Implement and maintain database systems, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code to support application development.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Engage in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce best practices in backend development.
• Continuously improve our development processes, adopting new technologies and methodologies where beneficial.

Required Skills:

• Deep expertise in Node.js and frameworks like Express.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and understanding of asynchronous programming, promises, and callbacks.
• Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and their declarative query languages.
• Proficient in RESTful API design and development.
• Knowledge of server-side templating languages and CSS preprocessors.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (like Angular, React, or Vue.js) is advantageous.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Docker containers.
• Understanding of security compliance and data protection.
