Senior Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and cloud-based network infrastructure.
  
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure optimal operation.
  
• Evaluate and recommend network hardware and software for enterprise deployment.
  
• Implement and manage network security measures including firewalls, ACLs, and intrusion prevention systems.
  
• Manage network capacity planning, redundancy, and failover configurations.
  
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of business systems.
  
• Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
  
• Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentorship to junior network engineers and support staff.
  
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  
• 6 to 9 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in an enterprise environment.
  

Certifications (preferred):

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher (e.g., CCIE)
  
• CompTIA Network+, Juniper, Palo Alto, or similar certifications
  

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP)
  
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or Fortinet network devices.
  
• Experience with firewall configuration and network access control (NAC)
  
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, MPLS, and VPN technologies
  
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
  
• Understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  
• Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and network segmentation
