Senior Data Engineer

The project is a dynamic solution empowering companies to optimize promotional activities for maximum impact. It collects and validates data, analyzes promotion effectiveness, plans calendars, and integrates seamlessly with existing systems. The tool enhances vendor collaboration, negotiates better deals, and employs machine learning to optimize promotional plans, enabling companies to make informed decisions and maximize return on investment. The required technology stack includes Scala, Go-Lang, Docker, Kubernetes, Databricks, with Python as an optional skill. The working time zone for this position is EU, and the specialty sought is Data Science. The ideal candidate should have more than 5 years of experience and English Upper-Intermediate language proficiency. Key soft skills desired for this role include a preference for problem-solving style over experience, ability to clarify requirements with the customer, willingness to pair with other engineers when solving complex issues, and good communication skills. The essential hard skills required for this position are experience in Scala and/or Go for designing and building scalable high-performing applications, containerization and microservices orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, building data pipelines and ETL solutions using Databricks, data storage and retrieval with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch, deploying and maintaining solutions in the Azure cloud environment. Experience in Python is considered a nice-to-have skill.
