Senior Backend Developer

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js. Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to define and implement efficient solutions. Architect and implement microservices and serverless functions where appropriate. Integrate with third-party services and databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.). Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews. Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability. Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. Contribute to technical documentation and participate in Agile development practices Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of backend development experience, with at least 3 years focused on Node.js. Proficiency in Node.js, Express, TypeScript, Jest, PostgreSQL. Strong experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify. Solid understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and eventdriven architectures. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure. Knowledge of authentication and security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, rate limiting, etc.).
