Essential Skills 1. Client Advisory & Business Analysis Collaborate with banking clients to understand their strategic goals, operational challenges, and digital transformation needs. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and data analysis. Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories for development teams. 2. Domain Expertise & Solution Design High Value Payment Schemes like Target 2, Fedwire, CHIPS, SEPA, CHAPS etc. CrossBorder Payment Framework Business understanding of the custody value chain ISO 20022 Understanding of core payment engines like Volpay, GPP, RPH etc. Deep understanding of accounting setups across the payment value chain Deep understanding of the settlement mechanisms like DvP, PvP etc. 3. Project Implementation Work alongside project managers, solution architects, and developers to deliver projects on time and within scope. Support activities such as user acceptance testing (UAT), system configuration, process mapping, and change management. Assist in developing key project artifacts including BRDs, FRDs, SOPs, training manuals, and status reports. 4. Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
Act as a bridge between client stakeholders (e.g., relationship managers, operations, risk, IT) and internal consulting teams. Facilitate workshops, sprint planning, and review sessions. Manage client expectations and ensure highquality deliverables.
Preferred skill sets
3 7 years of experience as a business analyst in institutional or corporate banking, ideally with prior consulting exposure. Deep understanding of banking processes and systems (e.g., credit origination, trade finance, treasury platforms). Experience working on largescale transformation projects, core banking upgrades, or regulatory compliance initiatives. Familiarity with banking platforms (e.g., Loan IQ, Finastra, Flexcube) is an advantage.
