Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scientist with a strong background in Chemistry and hands-on expertise in FMCG (Homecare) R&D. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and innovating formulations for laundry and cleaning products under our established brands like Safed, Champion, Sparkle, and others. Key Responsibilities: Lead/Support formulation development work stream for the brand - Innovation & others projects Research and Scout new technology routes/solutions to deliver superior products for the category Develop R&D Test Methods and Protocols Ensure all R&D work done OTIF as per the project requirement e.g Lab work, Specification development (RM/FG), Performance tests, Stability studies, GNT, Claims Support, and Demo Development etc. Create and monitor RM & FG specifications ensuring quality and market competitiveness. Address technical troubleshooting in factories / across supply chain • Address product-related queries from sales, marketing, and customers. Collaborate with quality team to address the quality / product / consumer complaints Work with process engineering and manufacturing teams to scale up products and optimize processes. Collaborate with packaging team and ensure relevant pack design , artwork etc is ready for launch Document R&D work through detailed reports and present findings to management. Manage the technical network of the project assigned Collaborate with Procurement, factory and quality teams to ensure successful MPT and Transits trials Test before launch. Ensure smooth functioning of lab operations, including supervision and management of lab inventory (chemicals, glassware, instruments) Manage Daily R&D operational activities Qualifications: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Ph.D. preferred) OR B.Tech / M.Tech in chemical engineering Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in R&D/Product Development, ideally in the FMCG Homecare sector for Powder, Liquid and Bar product format. Required Skills and Competencies: Technical Expertise: Knowledge about Surfactants , Inorganics , polymers , and other ingredients used in home care product formats. Project Management Excellence: Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while ensuring on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery. Adaptability: Flexible approach to problem-solving and addressing challenges in dynamic environments. Collaboration & Proactivity: Excels as a team player with a proactive attitude, consistently contributing to effective problem resolution. Strong Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills to convey technical details clearly to diverse stakeholders.
