Role - SAP FICO Associate Managing Consultant

Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled SAP FICO Associate Managing Consultant with a solid accounting foundation to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering SAP FICO solutions to meet business needs, participating in design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support activities.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and implement SAP FICO modules (FI - GL, AP, AR, AA; CO - Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Profit Centers, Product Costing, CO-PA).
Understand and map business processes related to finance and controlling into SAP solutions.
Gather business requirements, perform gap analysis, and provide functional solutions aligned with best practices.
Work on end-to-end SAP FICO implementations, rollouts, and support projects.
Collaborate with technical teams to develop functional specs for custom objects and reports.
Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules like MM, SD, PP, and HR.
Provide post-implementation support, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve processes.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit, and financial reporting standards.
Support data migration and cutover activities as part of project delivery.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. (Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, MBA Finance are highly desirable.)
8-10 years of hands-on experience with SAP FICO module configuration and support.
Strong understanding of core accounting principles and finance operations.
At least 2 full-cycle SAP implementations or rollout projects.
Experience in GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Controlling areas.
Exposure to cost center accounting, internal orders, profitability analysis (CO-PA), and product costing.
Experience working with SAP ECC 6.0; exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance is a plus.
Familiarity with taxation (GST/VAT), bank integrations, payment methods, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of S/4HANA conversion/migration projects is preferable.
Experience with interfaces, IDOCs, and reporting tools (e.g., SAP Query, Report Painter) is desirable.
SAP FICO certification (ECC or S/4HANA) is desirable.

Assists the project team efforts in documenting the developing solutions for client situations.
Assists team effort in preparing and developing solution documentation for projects.
Completes assignments within the budget, meets project deadlines, makes and keeps sensible commitments to the team.
Meets billing efficiency targets, complies with all administrative responsibilities in a timely and effective manner.
Learn to understand and adhere to project and organization guidelines with all administrative responsibilities in a timely and effective manner.
Keeps manager apprised of workload direction and concerns.
Learn to analyse and develop reliable solutions that produce efficient and effective outcomes.
Develop a deeper understanding of SAP methodologies, tools, standards, and techniques.
Assists with project documentation, and demonstrates effective organizational skills, with minimal supervision.
Adopt learning quality standards and correctly prioritizes own activities following the project plan.
Provides project team and leaders with updates on the progress and difficulties encountered, and provides value-added insight and understanding, for future program development.
