The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and performance tuning of PostgreSQL databases in high-availability environments. You will work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure data integrity, security, and scalability. Main Focus and Key Areas of Responsibilities Administer, maintain, tune, and troubleshoot PostgreSQL databases across development, testing, and production environments. Plan and implement database backup and recovery strategies. Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required. Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery strategies (e.g., replication, clustering, failover). Ensure database security and compliance with internal and external standards. Automate routine tasks using scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible). Work closely with software developers to optimize SQL queries and database schema design. Perform data migrations, upgrades, and capacity planning. Support CI/CD processes related to database deployments. Experience / Track Record Education and Experience: Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field is required. Master’s degree or relevant Postgraduate qualification is a plus. Industry certifications (preferred but not mandatory): PostgreSQL Certified Professional Linux Administration Certifications (e.g., RHCE) Cloud Cloud certifications (i.e Azure,AWS) Technical Expertise: Expert-level experience in PostgreSQL administration, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting. In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, query planner, execution strategies, and indexing techniques. Strong experience in replication methods (streaming replication, logical replication) and clustering/failover solutions. Familiarity with tools like pgAdmin, psql, pgBackRest, , and Patroni, Appdynamics Backup and recovery planning, implementation, and testing in business-critical environments. Experience: 5–7 years Role Overview Experience in seamless replication and integration of data from source systems (Oracle EBS, PLM, Retail, SQL Server) to Redshift and BI platforms using GoldenGate, Qlik Replicate, and ODI. Key Responsibilities Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate replication pipelines (EBS/PLM/BI). Administer Qlik Replicate jobs and monitor data sync from Oracle/SQL Server to AWS Redshift. Manage ODI interfaces for batch ETL processes feeding the data lake or reporting systems. Ensure data integrity, latency SLAs, and failure recovery in replication and transformation pipelines. Collaborate with BI teams to resolve source-side data issues and support schema evolution planning. Required Skills Experience in Oracle GoldenGate (active-active and active-passive replication) Familiarity with Qlik Replicate and Redshift pipelines. ODI interface development and job orchestration. Familiarity with data integrity validation, performance tuning, and log-based replication.

Role - DBA - Multi-Platform – Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL Experience: 5–8+ years Role Overview Multi-platform DBA to support performance tuning, capacity planning, and high availability across = heterogeneous database ecosystem: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redshift (both on-prem and AWS-hosted). Key Responsibilities Proactively monitor and tune DB performance across 220+ instances using OEM, Spotlight, and custom observability tooling. Ensure backup/recovery strategies across all environments and implement maintenance automation. Support DR testing, HA setup (Oracle DataGuard, SQL clustering etc.), and participate in failover drills. Create and maintain performance baselines, dashboards, and system health reports. Collaborate with application, BI, and infrastructure teams to resolve database-related bottlenecks. Assist in database provisioning, patching, and access control audits for SOX compliance. Required Skills Solid experience in Oracle (on-prem & cloud) and SQL Server administration. Hands-on PostgreSQL/MySQL/Redshift management in AWS. Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning high-throughput systems. Familiarity with GoldenGate, Qlik Replicate, ODI, and storage replication systems. Experience implementing DR, backups, and automation via shell scripting, Python, or Ansible.
