Job Description

The role of a Relationship Manager in the Cooperative Banks / Correspondent Banking Function involves managing banking needs for large Cooperative Banks / Correspondent Bank entities. Your primary responsibilities include building and managing rapport with clients, matching their requirements with the bank's products and services, and ensuring optimal customer acquisition, retention, and income generation by offering various products such as Assets, Liabilities, Trade, and Cash Management. Your key responsibilities will include: - Business Development: Managing existing client relationships to generate revenue by offering a range of bank products and services. You will need to scope the existing client base for identifying new opportunities and maintaining good relationships to achieve budgeted revenue goals. Regular interactions with clients and joint calls with other bank teams will be essential for cross-selling products and ensuring service delivery. - New Client Acquisition: Identifying and developing potential customers for the bank, including MNCs, through regular follow-ups and meetings with target clients. Offering value-add services to induce conversions and expand the client base. - Product Penetration & Cross-Sell: Generating and identifying new opportunities by understanding client needs and cross-selling suitable products. Increasing the bank's share in existing products by offering customizations and value additions. - Internal Processes and Coordination: Preparing credit appraisals for existing and new clients, analyzing financial statements for deal structuring, and monitoring credit to maintain the overall health of the portfolio. Coordinating with internal stakeholders for timely service and product delivery, ensuring compliance, and maintaining housekeeping through periodic memos and deferrals. - Knowledge Building and Market Intelligence: Staying updated on regulations and internal guidelines related to Cooperative Banks / Correspondent Banking business. Sharing important market information with peers, interacting with competition to understand market practices and offerings, and taking initiatives to enhance business growth through innovative solutions. By effectively managing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders, you will contribute to the growth and success of the Cooperative Banks / Correspondent Banking Function.,
