Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Write, revise, and finalize original plays that resonate with diverse audiences and reflect contemporary themes and issues.
Collaborate closely with directors, actors, and other creative team members to ensure the integrity of the script throughout the production process.
Participate in readings and workshops to refine scripts based on feedback from collaborators and audiences.
Research and incorporate relevant historical, cultural, and social contexts to enrich the narrative and character development.
Attend rehearsals and provide ongoing support to the creative team, making adjustments to the script as necessary.
Contribute to brainstorming sessions and creatively engage with other team members to explore new ideas and concepts.

Proven experience in playwriting, with at least one produced play or equivalent body of work.
Strong understanding of dramatic structure and character development.
Ability to write authentically and clearly, with a unique voice that resonates with audiences.
