As an Quality Analyst- Application Services at SoftwareOne , you will be at the forefront of our efforts to deliver outstanding, high-quality applications. You will work closely with business collaborators, project managers, and developers to ensure our applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Your role will involve analyzing business requirements, creating detailed test cases, performing various types of testing, and driving continuous improvements throughout the development lifecycle.

• Requirements Analysis: Work together with business collaborators and Business Analysts to review and analyze detailed requirements for application development projects.
• Test Strategy and Planning: Develop comprehensive test strategies, including defining test objectives, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Test Case Design and Implementation: Build and complete detailed test cases and test scenarios covering functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Defect Management: Identify, report, and track defects using defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution by the development team.
• Collaboration and Communication: Act as a liaison between the QA team, developers, and project managers to ensure clarity in requirements, testing processes, and timelines.
• Automation Testing (Optional): If applicable, design and implement automated test scripts using relevant tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Change Management: Assist in developing change management strategies to facilitate the smooth adoption of new applications and systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements, QA standard methodologies, and the adoption of new tools and technologies to improve the overall quality of application development.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in quality analysis or quality assurance for application development or software projects.
• Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
• Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, Selenium, Postman, or similar.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL for data validation and testing.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to identify edge cases and complex scenarios.
• Ability to think critically and provide actionable feedback to improve application quality.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with technical and non-technical collaborators.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of QA processes, tools, and standard methodologies to maintain application quality.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an IT field.
• Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
• Report to the Service Delivery Lead / Service Delivery Manager and contribute actively to the QA process within agile development teams.
• Assist in gathering and detailing user requirements, developing test cases, and providing accurate effort estimates.
• Maintain a proactive approach in identifying and mitigating risks related to application quality.
• Support both functional and non-functional testing to ensure robust and scalable applications.
• Stay updated on industry trends, QA methodologies, and emerging tools to drive innovation in testing practices.
