QA - Question Uploads

As a QA Lead for the Question Upload Team at our SaaS company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of test content as it transitions from our expert content authors to our digital platform. You will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process across SAT Math, Reading & Writing, and ACT subjects. Your leadership and management skills will be key in mentoring a team of 3 QA specialists, establishing quality standards, conducting regular team meetings, and coordinating workload distribution. In addition to leading the team, you will review and validate question banks from content authors, ensuring zero data entry errors, proper test configuration, and comprehensive end-to-end testing of uploaded assessments. You will personally take complete tests post-upload to identify any issues, check for formatting inconsistencies, missing content, or technical errors, and verify answer keys and scoring accuracy. Collaborating with the development team, you will implement quality metrics, reporting systems, and process improvements to enhance the platform's functionality. Your role will also involve stakeholder communication, where you will provide regular updates on team performance, communicate with content authors regarding formatting requirements, and coordinate with the customer success team on quality-related client issues. Required qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or related field, along with 3+ years of quality assurance or educational content review experience and 2+ years of team leadership experience. Technical skills such as proficiency with content management systems, strong attention to detail, experience with test administration tools, and familiarity with various file formats are essential. Soft skills like excellent leadership abilities, strong communication skills, problem-solving mindset, and organizational skills are highly valued. Preferred qualifications include experience in EdTech or SaaS environments, background in test preparation or educational assessment, familiarity with SAT/ACT test formats, and agile methodologies knowledge. You will be evaluated based on key performance indicators such as the error rate in uploaded questions, time from question receipt to platform deployment, team productivity metrics, customer satisfaction scores related to content quality, and compliance with testing deadlines.
