Job Description

The Purchase Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services that meet the company's requirements in terms of quality, price, and delivery time. This role involves working closely with suppliers, internal departments, and logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing in line with organizational policies. Responsibilities: Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and maintain vendor relationships. Source quality materials, products, and services as per company standards and needs. Request and evaluate quotes from multiple suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness. Prepare and issue purchase orders, track orders, and ensure timely delivery. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory department. Verify deliveries, check for damaged goods, and resolve supply issues. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices, and delivery information. Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Collaborate with finance and other departments to align purchasing with budget and project timelines. Continuously assess supplier performance and conduct periodic evaluations.
