Position Overview: We are looking for a Project Lead - PHP Developer with strong leadership and technical expertise to spearhead the development of next-generation fintech platforms. You will be a hands-on leader, guiding a team of developers, architecting complex systems, and ensuring delivery of high-quality products in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end backend development of financial services platforms using PHP. Design scalable system architecture, ensuring security, performance, and compliance. Manage and mentor a team of backend developers; conduct regular code reviews and technical sessions. Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver complete solutions. Plan sprints, allocate tasks, and oversee technical documentation. Integrate and manage APIs for payment processing, KYC/AML, and banking services. Troubleshoot critical issues and ensure system stability in production environments. Stay updated on fintech trends, compliance requirements, and emerging technologies. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in PHP development; 1+ years leading technical teams or projects. Deep knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony) and best practices. Strong database skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and query optimization techniques. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Qualifications : Understanding of security standards relevant to financial applications (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, PSD2). Experience working with REST APIs, microservices, and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes is a plus). Agile/Scrum project experience preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of payment gateways, banking APIs, or core banking systems.
