Job Description

Financial Strategy & Structuring:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project finance strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives and project pipeline.
  • Lead the structuring of diverse financial solutions for projects, including debt, equity, quasi-equity, and hybrid financing arrangements.
  • Conduct thorough financial feasibility studies, risk assessments, and sensitivity analyses for new projects.
  • Advise senior management on optimal financing structures, capital allocation, and investment decisions.

Fundraising & Lender Relations:

  • Identify, evaluate, and establish strong relationships with potential lenders, financial institutions, banks (public and private), private equity firms, and other funding agencies, both domestic and international.
  • Prepare compelling project finance proposals, detailed information memorandums (IMs), and financial models for potential investors/lenders.
  • Lead negotiations on term sheets, loan agreements, security documents, and other financial covenants.
  • Manage due diligence processes with lenders and investors, ensuring timely information flow.

Financial Modeling & Analysis:

  • Develop, maintain, and review sophisticated financial models for project valuations, cash flow projections, debt servicing, and return on investment (ROI) calculations.
  • Perform scenario analysis and stress testing to assess financial viability under various market conditions.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects, including interest rate risk, currency risk, credit risk, and operational risk.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all financial covenants, regulatory requirements (RBI guidelines, SEBI regulations, Companies Act, etc.), and internal policies.
  • Oversee the preparation of all statutory and regulatory filings related to project finance.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Project Management, Legal, Commercial, Engineering, Sales) to align financial strategies with project execution.
  • Effectively manage relationships with external advisors, consultants, lawyers, and auditors.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • (If applicable for larger teams) Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing project finance team.
  • Foster a culture of financial discipline, analytical rigor, and proactive problem-solving.

Post-Financial Closure Management:

  • Monitor project performance against financial covenants and repayment schedules.
  • Manage disbursement processes and ensure proper utilization of funds.
