  • Conduct stress analysis of mechanical, structural, and piping systems using various analytical and computational methods (Finite Element Analysis - FEA, etc.).
  • Perform calculations to evaluate the integrity and performance of systems and components under various loading conditions (thermal, mechanical, seismic, etc.).
  • Evaluate the design for potential failure modes and suggest necessary modifications to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.

Design Support & Review:

  • Assist in the design and optimization of engineering systems, ensuring that designs meet technical requirements, safety standards, and client specifications.
  • Review and provide input on engineering drawings, specifications, and other design documents.
  • Support the preparation of technical specifications, reports, and calculations for system design and structural evaluations.

Project Coordination & Technical Support:

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure that stress analysis and design are integrated effectively into the overall project plan.
  • Provide technical expertise to design, procurement, and construction teams on matters related to stress analysis, material selection, and structural design.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans for stress analysis tasks.

Compliance & Standards:

  • Ensure that all designs, stress analysis, and evaluations comply with relevant codes, industry standards, and safety regulations (e.g., ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices related to stress analysis and structural design.
  • Ensure the implementation of safety in design practices across all projects.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports, including stress analysis findings, design recommendations, and calculations.
  • Document all design and analysis work in a clear and organized manner, ensuring that records are easily accessible for review and future reference.
  • Present findings and technical solutions to clients, management, and project teams in regular project meetings and design reviews.

Risk Management & Troubleshooting:

  • Identify and assess potential risks related to stress analysis and design during the project lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues related to stress analysis and design, providing solutions that meet safety, quality, and performance standards.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices, process improvements, and engineering innovations within the stress analysis discipline.
  • Stay current with advancements in stress analysis tools and techniques, incorporating new methodologies into project work.

Qualifications & Experience:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification or advanced studies in stress analysis or structural engineering (e.g., Finite Element Analysis, etc.) is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in stress analysis, design engineering, or structural analysis within [relevant industry].
  • Proven experience in applying stress analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL, etc.) to evaluate mechanical and structural systems.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and structural design principles, including materials selection, welding, and fatigue analysis.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of stress analysis, mechanical engineering principles, and structural integrity assessments.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software for stress analysis (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar FEA tools).
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.) related to stress analysis and design.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
