Production Officer

The main objective of the position is to operate process plants for manufacturing finished products by monitoring and controlling process parameters. This includes operating, regulating, and monitoring batch productions to produce Engineering Plastics products during the shift, working in the field under the supervision of the shift leader. The key responsibilities of the role include performing routine tasks and assignments related to production operations, such as mixing and feeding of raw materials and packing of finished goods. The individual is expected to apply their knowledge in the operation, maintenance, methods, procedures, and techniques of plant equipment and safety requirements specific to their area of assignment. Basic housekeeping of machines and the workplace, routine troubleshooting, and responsibility for the production area are also part of the job duties. In terms of RCMS responsibilities, the individual is required to familiarize themselves with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) of hazardous substances within the workplace. They are also expected to perform roles as defined in the On-site Emergency Plan to mitigate emergencies, follow requirements and procedures related to Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Responsible Care Management System (RCMS). It is essential to prioritize EHS requirements before any activity or work to ensure safety, prevent/minimize safety risks, environmental pollution, and other potential hazards. Attending all EHS training as required, promptly reporting incidents, near misses, or exposure to hazardous substances to the direct supervisor, maintaining good housekeeping practices, conducting risk analysis, and developing safe working skills and habits are also part of the responsibilities. Key activities include maintaining production, quality, and safety standards, ensuring smooth plant operations, and housekeeping practices. The job skills required for this position include equipment knowledge of production/packaging equipment, instrumentation/control systems, and automation, as well as technical standards. Understanding process unit operations, safety protocols, and effective communication are also essential skills. Job requirements for this position include a Diploma in plastic processing/ITI with 3 years of experience in a polymer plant, along with 3-15 years of working experience. Technical and professional knowledge in extrusion equipment and compounding processes are also necessary qualifications.,
